This is a slight band-aid for the student loan issues. While Congress has halted the loan rates, many private colleges have increased tuition. Adelphi University has raised tuition starting Fall 2012 to an extra $875, which is unfair and unnecessary because they recently received millions of dollars in funding and donations. I think private colleges should be regulated when it comes to tuition hikes. - Tamara R.
Chief Justice John Roberts’ decision reaches into my life, and the lives of so many others, and truly made a difference. It’s a reminder that people who write television and movies aren’t wrong to believe that sometimes, the better angels of our nature can govern our nation. But that sometimes, they should save the speeches that turn the tide and the wrenching personal decisions for the good of the nation, recognizing them as the truly unusual things that they are, and understanding that they’re powerful precisely for being so rare.
Although the Democratic Party uses negative ads to inform voters that Mitt Romney is controlled by the Super PAC and the Sugar Daddies, Obama’s funding should also be questioned. Romney gets a majority of his money from oil rich old men, but Obama also gets funding from billionaires. - Tamara R
Although Obama’s health care package was approved, many states can still decide not to implement the plan. So this victory can end up an immediate loss for many Americans, as you can see in the chart. FOX and other conservative news sources are using fear propaganda to persuade their ill-informed audience that this Health Care reform will directly affect their income.
